She first created this virtual piano room in 2021, during the pandemic, as a way to share her music with family and friends. What began as a small personal project has blossomed into a space where she now connects with listeners and musicians from around the world.
Rika started playing piano as a child in Japan and continued through her teenage years. After stepping away from the instrument for many years to focus on her career and motherhood, she eventually found her way back to the keys. She plays peaceful neoclassical and classical music, and composes her own ambient pieces as well. Every recording you hear is played exactly as performed — no edits, effects, or enhancements. 🎶
Beyond the piano, she's also passionate about nature photography, watercolor painting, and birdwatching — and she hopes her music brings you the same moments of calm, joy, and smiles that those pursuits bring her. 🕊️🌿📸
